Agreement between Puerta Centro—Ciudad del Transporte and the Puerto de Tarragona Port

The CEO of Hercesa Inmobiliaria and DTL, Juan José Cercadillo, together with Josep Andreu, CEO of the Puerto de Tarragona (Port of Tarragona), consolidate the agreement between Puerta Centro-Ciudad del Transporte and Puerto de Tarragona. On Friday 15th June, an on-site visit confirming the agreement between Puerta Centro—Ciudad del Transporte and Puerto de Tarragona took place. This proyect will entail a great added value and a turning point for the creation of the main intermodal platform of the Iberian Peninsula. Many public and private authorities attended the event; on the one hand, Juan José Cercadillo, CEO for Hercesa Inmobiliaria and DTL (Desarrollos Tecnológicos y Logísticos, the developer of the Puerta Centro project), and Josep Andreu i Figueras, CEO for Puerto de Tarragona, and on the other hand, the Illustrious Mayor of Guadalajara, Antonio Román Jasanada and Mr. Rafael Esteban Santamaría, Major of Marchamalo, acting as local authorities of the cities where the Ciudad del Transporte is located. All individuals taking part in this event have continuously thanked all involved parties for their enthusiasm, effort, perseverance, and involvement during these last intense years to make this large project come true. This project will consolidate the company Hercesa as a national reference in the area and in particular, in the area of the Corredor del Henares, which is a key area not only as regards the real estate sector, but also, in the entrepreneurial tissue of the city of Guadalajara. With this agreement with Puerto de Tarragona, a unique event for Guadalajara has taken place, both as regards its economic impact and the employment repercussions it will have for this region. Our prospects for the platform, when everything is finished and working at its full potential and with all infrastructures linked to the transport and logistics sector, are that more than 15,000 jobs will be created.
