Puerta Centro – Ciudad del transporte receives an Award at Premios ASPRIMA – SIMA 2019

On 30th May, Juan José Cercadillo, CEO for Hercesa Inmobiliaria and DTL (Desarrollos Tecnológicos y Logísticos, developer of Puerta Centro), received an award for best non-residential real estate project at the ASPRIMA awards held at SIMA.

The Puerta Centro - Ciudad del Transporte project is a major reference insfrastructure for the transport of intermodal railway-road goods between sea ports and mainland Spain. It has 2,200,00 m2 and all necessary infrastructures and services to become one of the main logistic intermodal platforms in the Iberian Peninsula.

The features which turn this platform into a unique one are:
- Intermodality: Puerta Centro – Ciudad de Transporte is meant to become the main HUB "dry port" in the central area of Spain, with a trans-regional and international character and able to channel the main national and international flows to/from Madrid and its surrounding area.
- Urban planning: Urban structure based on large blocks with a reduced, structured, and public street system which allows a homogenization of uses to enable a new plotting and to cover the current needs of the logistic sector.
- Strategic location: Geographic location within a booming industrial and economic environment such as the Corredor del Henares, close to Madrid and its area of influence.
- Development potential: Large national and international companies already operating: Montepino, XPO Logistics, Luis Simöes, Inditex, Port de Tarragona, and Adif.

hi! Real Estate has acted as the manager of the whole project, providing its urban management, civil works, and marketing experience for its success. Its opening, on 24th October 2018, and its actual operation derives from the effort, hope, perseverance, and involvement of all intervening actors in this large project.
